Welcome

Thank you for your interest in UNC Hospital Medicine! We are now comprised of over 50 physician and advanced practice providers covering multiple hospitalist and teaching services across two campuses, the UNC Medical Center and the UNC Hospitals Hillsborough Campus. We provide 24/7 attention to patient care needs, including diagnosis and treatment of complex medical conditions, coordination of care with subspecialists, and the performance of bedside medical procedures. Our hospitalists follow up on tests and adjust treatment regimens as needed and talk with patients and their families about their care. The Division also works to ensure a safe transition of patient care from hospital to home or post-acute care facilities – an important ingredient for effective longitudinal care. Our practitioners are actively engaged in efforts to enhance the overall performance of our health care system and are proud of a team culture that enables us to provide the very best care to our patients, their loved ones, and each other. Because we are focused on providing efficient and effective patient care, our hospitalists are at the leading edge of changes in quality and process improvement, working to optimize the use of our hospital resources.
